FTP Connection Alive PHP

Hi
m using ftp function in php code to transfer folder

but after some folder transfer it give me time out error of 30 second

so using php code how can i make connection continuous?

is ther nything like keepalive or else?

www.php.net/set_time_limit

Set it to 0 for no limit.
