trying to set up a apache, php, mysql test server, but having problems

i got xp home edition so i cant make a pws or II2 server so i had to go with apache.

i got a mysql database server up and going easy

i got a apache server running, tested it with a localhost address test

the problem is when i try to configure php to work with apache, it just gives me problems

Ive add the lines they tell me to on httpdconf file and i moved the php.ini and .dll file around where they tell me too, but it doesnt work.

does anybody have and ideas?

Can you be more specific ? What problems ? What steps did you take to install it ?

You might want to check out programs like FoxServe ( http://www.foxserv.net/ ), or Apache2Triad (http://apache2triad.sourceforge.net/). Other links can be found at:

You cannot use the self installing php with apache and windows. You must use the zipped version.

Check out this article it worked great for me.

I originally tried FoxServe and all it gave me was headaches. I installed Apache, PHP, MySql and phpMyAdmin individually and have had no problems.
