My point exactly.

Whoever you choose will eventually suffer an outage or service interruption. The larger merchants seem to have better uptime, but none of them are immune to trouble.

Paypal is the way to go: If you have a look at my script here:

PHP E-STORE DEMO

you can see that it generates paypal buy it now buttons on the fly. If you like I can give you the PHP code snippet to do the same for your own site.
