Php Editing

Ok this is a php question but not about code

So at the moment i use dreamweaver as it allows me to use straight from server and save also straight back to the server. This is great except dreamweaver is crap. What do you guys use to edit php ? and does it allow direct ftp to load and save ? or is there anything you could recommend to use ?

Thanks
Mike

I user WinSCP and the Crimson Editor. Edit on the server, save on the server, etc.

Zend Studio supports this... but I still prefer Dreamweaver.

I use vi.

Sometimes, I install: with php.vim - PHP Syntax : vim online - in that case, I use vim.

Most servers have vim installed. Try "vim" instead of "vi".

or "vimtutor" ..
vim aint no ordinary text editor. you will have to spend some time learning..
and it will take even more time learning by doing until you`re as fast with it as with a "point'n'click editor".
If you tame it, you`ll love it. But if you dont have the time/passion/.. to spend some hours learning/looking stuff up/trying/.., dont even bother downloading (vim.org - left side - "download" - pick your system - pick the files(/installer) you like. Most non-windows boxes have it installed already :-)).

PSPad is decent editor has built in FTP saves to server automatically.
If you want a full development enviroment try Eclipse with the PHP plugin.
