Hi guys,

I just want to know if anyone knows how to make a button send off an email once clicked?

So, when a member logs in, they click a button that says "click here" or something and then it sends off an email to the admin which says "ready to rotate next person."

Is that possible?

But um, I need this in like a few hours I have no clue what Im reading.

I have a form already that I have been trying to use, but I dont know how to make it send prefilled information to the admins email address.

BUTTON - User clicks the button
Email gets sent to admin saying - ready to rotate next person.

I promise to learn how to do this myself, but can someone do this for menow without me having to learn the whole thing first?

I think you should learn how to do it. It's a simple task.

Try.

Start with the button. Write some HTML that will allow a person to click a button in the browser and have it invoke a PHP script. For the first tests, the PHP script can just echo "Hello", then it can issue an email.

If you're a student, learn. If this is your job, learn.

If you are in too much of a hurry to learn, regardless of the reason, you should stop and understand why.

Like wirehopper said, "If you're a student, learn. If this is your job, learn.". Excellent advice.

In the time you took to write these messages you could have done a few Google searches and found hundreds (if not thousands) of examples.

I searched for 8 hours all day today to learn myself, like I said, I tried using the form I had. I dont even know how to use the internet. This was a joint effoprt by me and another person.

We paid a professional to do this for us anyway, he took 4 minutes to do it and we gave him $1000 USD for it..We met our deadline. Now 9330 members are happy.

Maybe one day Ill learn, if I ever need to.

Honestly, that seems a bit excessive, even with a deadline of "right now".

I really hope you mistyped that $1000 and meant $100 USD if not I would recommend not using that professional again. He just took you for a ride. That would be like paying a car mechanic to put a new battery in your car for $1000.

But I guess if the money doesn't bother you at least you got it done.

I think a fair fee for this would have been $25-50USD, although without knowing the specifics that's a very rough number.
