Heya Guys

Im not sure im doing something wrong or whats happening, But im trying to get the total of the field points, when i run

PHP Code:

select sum(points) from user 

in the database i get the total perfectly but when i make

PHP Code:

$adminpoints = mysql_query("select sum(points) from user"); 

I get an Resource id #68 error

Am i doing something wrong ?
