Question Trying To Configue Web Directory Script

I am trying to configure a web directory script that asks for the following values:

PHP Code:

$mysqlroot=""//MySQL root

$mysqluser=""//MySQL user
$mysqlpass=""//MySQL password
$mysqldb=""//MySQL database
I understand and can fill in everything but the first one that asks for MySQL root. I suspect it wants a path, but a path to what?

I am really new to this stuff. I tried contacting the people who made the script, but they are not answering. This should be simple right? But I googled it to death and keeps saying stuff about the root user password. Does it want a password?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm so confused.

You can probably leave mysqlroot as it is, an empty string.

Some applications use a prefix on the database table names, which allowed people who had hosting plans that only allowed one database to install several applications.

Either that, or it wants to know where the server lies.

IE.

localhost or, the actual path to the server if it is remote.

If this is on your own PC, you probably need to use "localhost". If it is already on a web server, your Control Panel should tell you the location, which is what you would use.
