I'm just starting to learn php, but I can't test any of my programs, because whenever I try and upload it, it says that it isn't a valid php file. (P.S. I use a mac)

I have never come across such an error.. usually if the code is wrong you will just get a series of error messages such as syntax error at line 123

What is the address of the website you are trying to upload your scripts to ? (e.g. www.whatever.com/myname/test.php)

You have to install PHP...I hope so you did that,
and then you install PHPmyadmin en MySQL
then I think it should work...I installed these 3files and it worked ;-)
