viewing your php code

i want to view my php code that i have written in my browser. i save my files in Edit Pad, with the .php extension, with "*Any File" selected, in the apache htdocs folder. it always used to work until i downloaded php coder and dreamweaver. Now when i go to type in http://localhost/MyFiles/Filegoeshere.php, it wants to download the file into php coder, instead of veiwing it. How can i view my work? Is there some sort of way i can change my preferences or something?, because it always used to work before i downloaded php coder and dreamweaver. if no one knows this, then can u tell me another way to view my work?

Go to the following directory:

apache/conf/

Open up the file:

httpd.conf

Make sure the following lines are in that file. If not add them to it, save the file and restart apache server:

Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php.exe"
