problem with the time format

Hi all

i m facing ine problem.....that is

i m fetching one value from database....
thats field is the loginduration of the user

that is

"AcctSessionTime/3600" this give the perfact time but not in the right format...

ex. if the total logged time is 4.08 hours it gives 3.68 hours....

how do i solve this
can anyone help me plzzzzzzzzzz

if i were you i would use unix timestamps and format them using the php Date() function
