Uhh...Can you use Javascript to make a login page/register? Would it run by itself???

in short, no, you need some sort of server side scripting like perl or php

Yep you can. I have created a page using javascript and VBScript in a normal page to write to files and DB. Fact is though doing it this way
a. means all the files / code is viewable.
b. anyone can view the logins / passwords / details etc.

So yes you can but i wouldn't recommend it. For me it was a small work app to represent a chat page. It uses the work pc's login name and logs number of users online, and lets them post comments to a DB using DOA or is that DAO anyway.. lol.
