Linux is supposedly "more stable" even though it all depends on the server admin operating it.

However, you can install most anything on Linux, from PHP to Perl to ColdFusion, even ASP if you use ChiliSoft!

It seems on average Linux hosting seems to be a bit cheaper than Windows hosting as well, so I voted for Linux.

For hosting I've gotta go Linux. Apache works best on Linux, so does PHP. I'd never want to use ASP or ASP.net so I needn't worry about that.

I'd never trust my site being hosted on a Windows server.

I prefer windows becuase of pws and asp and access. The only downside is that it is more expesive to buy windows hosting from webhosts. I currenly use windows 98 but i am soon going to install NT which i just bought.

I always host with Windows now.

ASP, ASP.net, SQL Server...list goes on. I haven't had any problems with Windows at all.
