I am planning to set up a site for information sharing for a non-profit organization, but I have not yet found a suitable tool. Most information will be open to members, but some will be limited to a smaller group of the members. The restrictions should primarily be on folders for view/download/upload of documents, but it could ideally also apply to sections/pages of the site.
I have identified the need for creating a menu, a couple of simple pages, document sharing (secured folders), simple news, image archive, member list, maybe a discussion, simple page management. This will almost be like a group site on Yahoo, but a little prettier.
I have looked at PHP-Nuke, PostNuke, phpWebSite, XOOPS, Drupal, phpx and phpwcms, without finding any solution. They typically fall through on security based on content (and not on function), except for PostNuke which has a far from user friendly way of setting content based security. I just want to set security (required groups) on document directories and pages. In addition, only phpwcms provides a user friendly WYSIWYG HTLM entry.
Am I the only one with such requirements?
