Update a website via email..

Does anyone know how to update a website using email where the subject line determines the area/frame/div/table/whatever of the site to be updated and the email message is the content? It would also be cool if pictures could be included along with the text. Are there free scripts or tools for this? I'm not really talking about Flash, but I assume the process could be applied to dynamic Flash content as well.. I'm trying to set up a basic site for someone and thought this would be the ideal method of updating. Of course there are blogs, but I'd like to reduce the means of input to the lowest common denominator, i.e. email.

Thanks..

I think you'd ne better off sticking to a simple CMS. Trying to use emails opens up a LOT of needless issues, security being a major one.

FlexWindow

I'm looking for a better solution, and hope someone can post one, but I've found Flex Window so far.

I should mention the problems with it.
  • The email contents are stored on Flex Window's server, not yours.
  • A small problem, for some, would be that they use JavaScript. That's not really a problem for me; I suspect mostly bots are the ones with JS turned off, and they account for much of the traffic on the web.
    Flex Window.
That said, I think it's an innovative solution, and opens up CMS to a world of new people who only know how to use email.

Take a look, and if you found something else, please email me.
