Im a heavy buyer of scripts. I haven't seen a good 'mall' script that could handle multiple vendors (separately).
Im basically looking for something that will generate some generic (yet nice) store files (across perhaps 3 optional templates) in their own directory (as named on a master admin panel) for multiple merchants under a single domain which would give all of them some basic controls over personalizing various aspects of their store's look and feel plus the common controls and any ecommerce owner would expect in a store (via a simple to use user interface).
Food for thought -- im really close to just hiring someone to have this done but was wondering if there was something off the shelf out there (i saw the web mall section within the PHP and Perl areas of hotscripts but all of those were either ugly (in design), non user friendly, didnt have the right functionality, or too pricey (wants to limit the amount of stores), or just old and not conducive to what store owners of today expect in a basic ecommerce offering.
A friend of mine mentioned APMAll -- but they fell off the face of the earth it seems. You guys need to tap into the entrprenurial buyers of scripts out there. If someone created a script like this and sold it for 500-1k with no BS price packages like you see with some of the older mall scripts then youll make a fortune for all of us prospectors out there. Also cultivate the business with add on modules (like language packs, more templates, and updates)...and youll have some long time customers. Ive been a customer with some of my scripts for about 5 years now.
Just food for thought for you programmers. Any feedback would be very much appreciated.
