Set List Prediction Request

Okay. This is going to be an odd request, but I'm going to try. :-)

I have a band called Throwing Toasters. I would like to set up a part of the site that is sort of like Fantasy Football, but on this site, fans would try and predict what songs my band would play at shows.

There would be a list of songs they could choose from. A lockout time where they'd have to enter their predictions in by. Then after the gig I could enter which songs were played and the players would receive points based on their predictions. It can just be by correctly guessing which songs were going to be played and/or what position in the set they were played. Then the top guessing players could be ranked. (It would be very cool if this could be integrated with the phpbb forums and the CashMod that goes with it, but it's not necessary.)

I know very little about PHP but I think this is something that could be done. I'd love to hear any thoughts.

I know a few bands who would adopt this sort of community buidling script for their websites.

Let me know what ya think!

Thanks!

Grant

Little more on how it'd work...

There would e a list of all the band's songs. Each song would have a point value assigned to it. The more frequently a song is played, the lower the value.

Then they'd get to choose songs based on the length of the set. Say 3 songs for a 10 minute set, 7 songs for a 20 minute set.

They would have by a certain day and time to lock in their predictions. Then after the show I could enter in the songs I played and they'd get points accordingly if they were right.

song stuff

dude ... and the question is?

you got it right - php is probably great for this .. are you looking for a free script .. are you looking to pay .. whats the deal? are you asking if it's possible to use php for this? ... If your looking for someone to do this for you then you need to make your posting a little more appealing... (free adverts for services)?

either way .. good luck, this is highly customizable to what your looking for - you won't find exactly what your looking out there unless someone feels like doing a good deed to help you out...
