Hi, here is the question:

I need an 'application' that can apply layers to an image in realtime, like say:

i have a picture of a couple taken by a photographer, and i want to add a white viginette around the image by clicking a button.
or a black viginette etc. also be able to change the image to sepia or black and white.

this needs to be fully automated.

The use:

users can log in and see their pictures taken at the studio, they need to be able to customize their pictures by adding borders, viginettes, changing tones etc, very simple things, then add the selection to the shopping cart.


is their a method or application known that i can use for this?

what would you charge to help me create this?

My company made something similar to what you are asking for using ImageMagick. Please see http://www.hyperfiles.com/cgi-bin/editimage.cgi to see what we did. This image editor was meant to be used by WebTV users. Thus the simple interface. We do custom programming. If you're interested in having us do some work for you, let me know. I would need more details before I can give you an estimate.
