I am searching for a script / software package for the following:
Requirement:
A web based extranet that has a file database and superuser control for enduser permission based on profiles. More or less MS Sharepoint in a pretty package that is easy to administer.
Overview:
A real estate transaction is a complex set of definable steps and processes that have to be undertaken by many different parties at differing times. This process control is all coordinated by a realtor. It is vital that all parties have secure access to the relevant documents at all times so that the transaction can be streamlined. Because of the sensitive nature of the documents it is important that the system is secure and that user only have access to their predetermined files.
Admin: Sets up user / superusers accounts
From the SuperUser perspective:
A web based interface into the back end of the solution. Here they can upload files to the appropriate folders, set up user account and permissions and archive the files for license requirement compliance.
From user perspective:
Users will consist of real estate brokers, mortgage brokers, attorneys, buyers, sellers, inspectors, and appraisers. This user will login to the realtor web site, click a link to the “extranet” and login with their given credentials (probably email and chosen password). After login they will see their accessable folders and sub files for each individual deal.
From somewhat of a technical aspect:
It should be able to be hosted by on any linux server / windows server. There has to be some level of support for the admin (im, email, or phone etc). It needs to be scalable for up to dozens, or more, superusers and unlimited users from the software side. Must be secure.
