Does anyone know of a cgi or perl script that is an invisible counter?

And it can't use javascript either.

I want to get some sort of statistics on my visitors, but other than the ones my host creates. I want to see if they are coming from these traffic exchanges I signed up for and I want to know how many people are coming, etc.

But I want it invisible.

http://www.statcounter.com/ offers a free hidden counters for websites, always up - not sgi or perl but it works well and has a very good stat breakdown
