Background:
We are a locally owned lumber yard/ hardware store and are looking for a web based tool so that all employess can see at what stage a new home is at. It would require the ability to add new projects and delete projects when they are finished. There would be several stages that would "Have a Check Box" such as building permit, estimate, foundation, framing ...... Preferably a screen showing all the current projects and there stages in a chart type format. If no one knows of anything like this how would I go about finding someone to develop this for me?

The web page for the above is not much to look at but they do have some screen shots that show the project catagories and status...

I also found a few that will probably do what you want by searching for "project tracking." I limited this to PHP. There are probably more available in the other scripts...

Do you want this to be a simple way to view project status or do you want this to grow to be a full project management system? Also, what are your web site publishing experience and web site capabilities?

The reason I ask is that a low tech way to display and update information like this would be to use an Excel spread sheet and either have a script that converts this to HTML and displays it or simply do a "save as" HTML and upload the results to your web server.
