I need something really easy yet secure to protect different web pages on my web site. It would be a bonus to assign different user names and passwords but not necessary. I see a lot of scripts require you to protect a directory and the web pages I want to protect just show up under public_html, so I'm not sure where to put the file. Would a php script fit the bill or some other kind?
