The best WYSIWYG editor

Hi,

I’m looking for WYSIWYG editor, that doesn’t change html code with adding it own additional tags and has a good forms support. Most of scripts I’ve seen don’t allow you to place textarea elements within your page. Any suggestions?

Keith, fckeditor is customizable?
I see a lot of icons in fckeditor but I don't need all. I need a simple WYSIWYG editor, like this forum (vbulletin)

TinyMCE is a pretty simple editor. Not sure if it meets the rest of your qualifications or not though. You can give it a look over at http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/

TinyMCE doesn't support forms very well... at least it didn't the last time I used it. I had to hack it up a bit so it wouldn't strip out nearly all form elements when saving the content.

I saw phpBB3 has a very good WYSIWYG Editor, it works with Safari 1.3.+ also. FCKEditor doesn't work with Opera (not sure why) - It took me almost a minute to load TinyMCE Editor example (too many buttons I think). Both TinyMCE & FCKEditor don't work in Safari.

So far, phpBB3 WYSIWYG is the best one I can say.

Regards,
