I am looking for a PHP Script (application) that helps me solve the following scenario:

I have a client that wants to have PDFs for his products online - when a visitor clicks on the link to the PDF he wants them to be presented with a page that gives them a basic summary of the file (can be hand written - the script doesnt have to pull this from the file of course) and a notice to register with the site in order down load the file...

Registration will be free, but he wants to keep track of what people download in order to make sale calls as well as receive an email when a PDF is downloaded and who downloaded it...

Now this doesn't have to be specific to PDFs obviously. But for any files downloaded - or certain pages viewed...

Anyone got any suggestions for a script that can help me with this.
