need a simple calendar + eventlist

i looked through the php calendar section
the very good ones cost money, and the other ones is just too complicated.
i really am looking for something like this

http://l--l.jp/schelist/in.cgi?cd=sc308

like calendar on top, can click to see different day
and a little of today's even
than a long list of this month's event
this is perfect! excpt that this website only offer free rental calendar and does not provid the cgi for download.

if anyone can tell me ca calendar similar to this, i will forever be thankful!
thank you!

Designing this type of calendar is quite simple. It can be done very easily with tables and a database.

Well, as you can see, when it comes to codeing nothins is as "simple" as it looks.
Do you have your own domain and hosting or do you have one of those free web sites? And does the server where you have your web site support PHP and MySql database?
