Question

SMS Messaging

I'm looking for a script that will send SMS messages to mobile devices without the use of a gateway.
I've seen it done using XML and I wonder if I could do it using PHP.

I'm not sure you can send sms without the use of a gateway! (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

I figured out how to send the message, now I'm wondering how I can change the header info the typical "From: email@email.com" doesn't seem to work when sending to mobile devices, like it does when emailing.
