I need to create a web site which utilises an online catalogue and also a shopping cart. I've had experience of Dansie before and enjoy using it. We'll probably use it for this new site.
The only thing im not experienced in is the catalogue feature. My previous site had only a few products which meant I coded the prices etc into the html.
The customer now wants a large amount of products which will have to be catalogued. For example a user might click on "products for men" and have a list of all products on a database which have "men" listed in a field. These will have to be presented perfectly matching the look and feel of a page.
I dont have any real experience of CGI, Perl, etc. so something easy to use is required. Also the customer will want to update their own database so I would need something with a front end to add new products. Any assistance would be appreciated.
I need some software (either free or low cost) which will allow me to create a catalogue with pricing and photos, which will also give me great control over the layout. I'm not an expert in things like style sheets and have constructed many uncomplicated sites in Dreamweaver and Frontpage.
