I want to know how I can go about doing this or if there's a 3rd party company/application that can do this:

I work for a company in which are there independent sales agents who bring in a majority of clients. Many do not have their own websites. Where can I a find a service/program that allows independent agents create their own mini-site off of our main company site?

For example, our company is ABC Company. Our main website's domain is www.abc.com Our agent, Larry, needs his own website. So somehow he creates one or we create one for him and the domain is www.abc.com/larryswebsite . All of our agents can "create" their own mini-site that is a standard template in which they have their own domain and and can customize (change their name, contact info). This page should be secure and individualized for the agent so we and the agent can track their own leads.

I've seen other direct marketing sites like Mary Kay have this function where each agent gets their own website.

On second thought, a single program would be great.
I would use one of the scripts used to manage subdomains.
Youll need a Control Panel enabled host.

One suggestion might be the Wordpress MU package. It's wordpress, but when people register, they can get their own blog. While it's more blogging, if you spend some time with it, you might be able to customize it or hire someone...

What your probably going to have to do is use some sort of content management system that supports user registrations, and then find a plugin that lets each registered user have their own "site" basically under yours. Joomla, drupal, mambo. I'm not overly familiar with the plugins for these, but there might be something.

If not, you can probably have something custom made, but you'll need to make a post in the jobs section of this forum and include details of your project and see what you get for a quote.
