Hello everybody.
I`m working on company email newsletter and can`t figure out how to code something like “Forward this email to friend” link inside the particular email. I would like to avoid javascript because I read that most of clients strip that code //they strip most of my work

I would be most grateful if anyone could send me code or point me in the right direction.

What I would do is have the link point to a page on my website, on that page would be a mail form they can fill out that would ask for there friends email and a message to there friend, the form would then save the email address to a DB (always save these) and then send the customized email out to the friend.

Thank you ruteckycs, that is great idea, but for now I`m only doing newsletter and they already have their site in flash so even if they agree with that I can`t edit because original fla is unavailable.
I just wanted to know if there`s any way to put some code in mail that will open default mail client with that same message, so they can just type their friend`s name.

Yeah. Well, I suggested that they should have a page for subscribe, thanks for that one.
Now off to figure out how to do that; and because the site is already done in flash, I can`t just add “subscribe to our newsletter” link, so it will be available only through link provided in mail. Supposed I make one page for that.

I would NOT use a mailto link. Not in this day an age. Spambot much? Definately a form that goes to a dynamic script. You put a mailto link and I guarantee that some spambot is gonna pick that up.

I do have a better solution. It was a silly little url traffic tool that I build for someone. It allows you to create custom links and url that you can put in a newsletter or something. Clicking on that link takes you to a page where a person can forward that page up to 5 people at a time. No email in page, no bots, no programming either.
