Question Create Certificate From Form Data

Greetings,

I run an online school for repossession agents. I have created an automated system for user creation and payment as well as testing. The last remaining task is to allow those who have passed the test to print a certificate saying so.

I'm not sure the best method to go about this so that I don't have to manually create the certificate. There will only be two fields on the certificate that need to be entered by the user, name (obviously) and a unique certificate number. The certificate template is already done in PDF, but can always be converted if needed.

*Issues*

Each passing tester can only edit the certificate ONCE (as I can't have a passing tester just print out certificates for all of his/her friends. This could be done via restricting I.P. perhaps?

Even with I.P. restriction, a passing tester can just go to another computer and use the same link to print again... is there a way around this?

Thank you for any suggestions!

Hi, making pdfs, or editting existing ones, is relatively easy.

I'd recommend this:

Setasign :: FPDI - Import existing PDF documents into FPDF - A free and open source PHP class

As long as you're using php. Also, to make sure people only get the pdf once, I'd probably have a login section, and once the script to create the pdf has been ran, add a flag to their corresponding ID in a mysql table. If there's no log-in section, then it's impossible to prevent what you mention.
