Im needing some help people.

What it is is my boss is asked me to build him a website for his shop its a motor factors but there is a brand he has that he wants to sell on the internet there is a lot of part numbers and also a lot of vechiles i was wondering what the best e-commece programe is to use that can have a facility to search a make/Model/Engine size of car to come up the selection of products.


Also is there any sort of like a catalog programe out there for free that i could build a online catalog that does this then they can search the site with the part number ??

Any help would be greatfull as my boss is looking to get this started within the next few day.

Im looking for free programes to use the now to see if it takes of then will invest in a paid programe.

You probably need a 'cart'. I recommend Shopping Cart Software & Ecommerce Solutions: X-Cart. Free shopping cart trial is available.. Other carts include Magento, osCommerce, and Zen Cart - and there are many more.

Don't limit yourself to free systems and then assume you can easily upgrade to a different system. You need to choose the right system to begin with - this will be an expensive project, even with free software. The cost is in the labor to make the system do exactly what you need. If you have to learn how to use the software, that is part of the cost.
