Lightbulb mailing list question

Hi everyone,

I have used mailman for my mailinglist, but this program does not work very well on windows. I have been searching for a mailing list script for windows but I don't find one with the following features:
- members can easily send an email to mailinglist@mailinglist.com and
then the email is automatically sent to all members.
- easy (un)subscribe

Now I would like to write such a script myself if there is nobody who knows a good script for this job.

Can you help me how to program this. My problem is that I don't know how to let the script take action from the moment the email arrives, so that it is send out. I also don't know how I should read the content of the email so I can send it.

Please help

Thanks in advance van any help,
James

hm do you want a user to send a email to list@list.net or do you want that a user goes to your web based email script an then puts in his text and it gets sent to all members of your list??? if you want to do it web based then that shouldn't be to hard

Arrow not webbased...

You are right! Webbased isn't a problem at all. But I would like them to post to the list via email. After all, a lot of people only use a mailinglist if it's easy to use. And most people are familiar with sending email.

When they can post via email, it would also be much easier to reply to a post. When they reply, everybody will get this reply.

On a webbased interface, when they want to reply to an email, they would have to visit the website again. I think most of the users will just hit their reply-button, not knowing that no-one will receive their email.

So, please, any suggestions are welcome.

Anyway, GG Dart, Thank you for your reply,
James
