Ebay spiders?

Hi,
Is there any kind of ebay compatible directory where you can type in a product idea and put an e-bay auction in a desired category? Is there one for free? If not, is ebay API interface available anywhere so I can write one myself?

I'm more looking for just something to developer a spider and e-bay products related directory.
