Are there any scripts for personal web pages

I have spent many hours searching the web for software (preferably PHP) that I can put on my site for users to create their own web pages. Maybe 4 or 5 pages with pictures. Preferably with templates and easy use for beginners.

So far I can't find anything suitable. Can anyone please recommend anything.

My server is running Linux with PHP and MySQL. I use only Macintosh computers for workstations. I know very little about PHP or MySQL so installation needs to be simple.

My main web site http://motorcyclephilippines.com is one of the Philippines top ten sites and is used by about 200 motorcycle clubs. I am hoping the clubs and individuals will set up their own sites within Motorcycle Philippines.

Hivemaker(http://www.hivemaker.com) coming soon. You can test a demo on the page.

Also, if you don't need template support then look at Xpanel (www.xpanel.org). It's a full featured control panel with upload/download but it's not a template driven solution, so beginners might have a hard time.

Many thanks for the tip.

Lookin' good but it looks like there is a lot that is not yet working. Is this likely to have things like text and image areas/blocks/fields and a way to upload images?

If users can upload images to predefined areas and enter text into text areas it will be really good.

Hello,
If you are on a server with root access, can use the multi-user hosted version of Web Studio, It's free. http://www.soholaunch.com

If you are interested I will see if I still have the code on my PC that I tried out.

You had an index page and then a directory; the code would read the directory and create links to include the pages. So all the user had to do was upload any php or html files into one folder and the links were generated from the page names.

The index page can be a template and use css. etc.

I'm looking for the exact same thing.

I do have a few preferences though:
- Free
- Nothing fancy, just something private where I can allow people I know to make a webpage

I don't have root access or anything like that. I pay for a normal hosting.

Sorry, if this is considered hijacking.

EDIT:
Ah, yes it should also be possible to
- Limit each users allowable disk usage
- Limit the filetypes (so that users can't upload php files and other executable files).
