Hi there,
We have an application that transfers data from client's local machine to our web server for providing online queries answers to our client's customers. But, recently our clients are facing problem of DTS failure (in my term) with our application. The problem to me seems to be the non-standard internet CAPPing strategies adopted by these crowd of broadband providers. I tried taking help of speed test websites and other tools but wasn't able to drag me out of this problem scenario. Does, any one knows to check speed of internet on SQL port rather than on FTP or HTTP port?

Did you check to make sure that your broadband provider is not blocking ports 1433-1434 (assuming that you are using MSSQL)? Some providers block those ports, since there are several worms that exploit them.
