So that we can better answer (or move this thread to a more correct forum section) what part do you need help with or what problem are you having?

Apache is just a web server. It really does not have anything to do with a mail server or with php being able to send email.

You need to edit php.ini and add smtp settings if your using a windows system as your web server. Windows does not come with a smtp server software built in.

Hey,

Thanks for moving the post. I have installed the mercury/32 mail server and its is working. But I am not sure how I read the emails haha. Would I need to install software so I can read the mail? I mean I get the reports that the mail has been received.

If so what software do you guys recommend?

Thanks.

Does the mercury server recieve mail or just send it? If it's only sending it, then you won't be able to read it unless you send email to a test account of your own. I usually send mail to my gmail account and read them there. Easier that way than trying to setup mailboxes locally just for testing.
