Automatically Delete Files?

I have both VPS and Shared Hosting, both are running on Linux. Are there any ways I could set a job wherein it will automatically delete a new file on a certain folder 24 hours after it was first created? Is that possible using a script or a job? I'm using LxAdmin on my VPS and Cpanel for the shared hosting. Thanks in advance...

I once saw an script to do this via a cron job, on the MFH (Mega File Host) forums, for something like $10. I'll try get a direct link to it.

do you have access to using cron?

And what scripting language would you prefer to use to do the job?
