Do you have an .htaccess file on your server? If so, can you post its contents?

Hi,

Are you sure you are uploading it to the right folder? Often if you open a ftp connection to a webserver, you initially open it at the root folder, and the webpages are then supposed to go into some httpdocs folder or similar.

Try looking for folders like:

httpdocs
html
/var/www/apache-default

etc. I might be poiting out the obviuos which you already tried, but this would be my first guess.

I cant seem to .htaccess file on on the server.

I have uploaded all my files

62.197.33.220/

I have uploaded my files to the root to tp://62.197.33.220 as there no more files to drill into.

This site is currently live on another server, I have copied all the files that where on this server to my machine, add a few pages and uploaded to this new server

Dont know if this helps
I can go to ftp://62.197.33.220/
and its ask for my user name and password, once entered it takes me root of ftp://62.197.33.220/ where the files i have uploaded can be seen. I can then click on index.html and once again asked for user name and password and if entered corretly the page will load minus images with an alert of 421

Probably you are just downloading the file (without images) when you doubleclick it as you described.

There is still an Under Construction page there. The config of IIS might prevent serving other pages while this is there. Can you try and see what happens if you remove the default page? This is probably default.html, index.html or something like that, which was already in the ftp dir before you started uploading.
