Hello, I have happily been on webmasters.com for a few years now. Maybe four? I tried a scumbag freehosting place which sold all my email addresses, and some discount place which couldn't send mail. (I have been living in haiti for the past four years and access to smtp is frequently unavailable from cyber cafes) Anyway, I have been very satisfied with Webmasters.
Now I am thinking of trying out some blog software. That is the point of this post. I did not know until today that there was a message board associated with webmasters. Sort of thought that it was for webmasters customers only so the seperate login surprised me.
Went to look in the software installation area of control panel and there is a bunch of stuff there that I do not recall from my initial setup. Like, blog and message board and wiki software. Well, those are new packages. And I am behind the times. Not behind the mule.
So, I clicked on install for wordpress (which I had just read a review of) and discovered that I do not have sql; furthermore, it is required.
Checking my account I discovered that I have a business account. Ok. I need to select an optional service. Is that '300mySQL'? Do I need 300 databases to run a blog?
I used to understand this stuff, have patience.
