Hey guys, I'm having some problems sending out emails to my email list. I have about 500,000 subscribers and I have it set up on a dedicated server with phplist as the email list software.

The server is an Intel Xeon 3040 (Dual Core) with 1GB ram. But it's not working good at all to send out emails to the entire list. I'm also hosting other sites on this server. But I don't know if it's the server or the email list software that is the problem.

Does anyone here have any experience with big email lists?
What server do you recommend me to get?
Should I get another email list software?

I want to be able to send out 1 or maybe 2 emails per week.

You ever looked into something like Interspire E-mail manager? If you have that many subscribers I think you should upgrade.

Define "not working good". Too slow, script crashes, doesn't send...?
