SVN setup

Hi community,

I have an SVN server with files, and commits installed. I have downloaded Tortoise SVN, and installed it on my computer. But I have no clue on how to link the two. I have tried to figure it out with the help, but I seem to be too noobish to understand what they are doing. Can anyone help me set this up?
