Protitude Hosting & Design

Hello all,

I'd like some "constructive" criticism on my web hosting/designing company. I just recently got some time to work on it, so if anyone could give me some good advice on what they think; I'd appreciate it! Also I'd love to get some advice on creating more hits to my site as well... If anyone would like to exchange links or have any proposals please contact me!

Thanks,
Miles

1: I would like to exchange links with your site. My site is onlyphp.com and onlycgi.com if you are interested.

2:
a: Personally i don't like the design. The colors are maybe ok but That's my personal opinion.
b: A design firm should have a design IMO , maybe more metallic or something that takes attention.
c: Fonts , buttons are too small for 1280*1024 resolution.
The text on the right :
Quote:
MySQL Server : Up
Web Server : Up
FTP Server : Up
SSH Server : Up
SMTP Server : Up
POP3 Server : Up
are even impossible to read.

d: Too much white space
e: Needs a slogan next to Logo.
f: .....
g: .....
goes on...

I think you need a better design.

I recognise that background. Free template?
The top rounded edges need some smoothing or make them smaller.
Yeh maybe consider a font change.
You could do some more work on your logo maybe?
The lightning effect looks really basic.

Maybe rethink the site's architecture?

i agree with OnlyPhp.Com, need a redesign.

perhaps you need to hire a professional to make you a layout and stay away from free templates.

The only things I like are the navigation and the colors. The rest just doesnt do it for me. The rounded corners should be less blocky. See how the right side of your logo blends into the background and the right is square? I think the left should blend in too unless you want it to be a little square.

Thanks alot for the input. I actually designed this whole site myself with the exception of the background, that I did take from a free template. I'll play around with changing my style sheet, and maybe redesign the whole site.... Thanks alot

Hey OnlyPhp.Com I'll get back to you on exchanging links after I get my site redesigned...

Seriously...I need to set up a "hosting company" too. Considering I have the same top-level package (through a different host) that EV1 offers (http://www.ev1servers.net), I guess I could turn my single dedicated server into a full-fledged hosting company.

You need a better logo if you want pepole to take you seriously in terms of your ability to design something. In fact I can't imagine anyone looking at your web site and thinking "wow...they could make me a great site".

Sorry

Jim
