I was wondering why no post in this secton of the forum... so here it goes... breaking the ice.

I'll bite.

I checked your site. While I am not a graphic design guy I will tell you functionally what I think.

#1 Your site is too busy.
When I first arrive on the page, I am not quite sure the focus. There are too many things going on. If you are indeed focusing on photography. The two things that I will be looking for as a user are samples of your work and pricing. I would focus on that first and cut down on the clutter.

#2 Your navigation is confusing.
I can not tell where to go on your page to find the information I am looking for. Cut down the number of links. It's overwhelming. Try to rethink the most important pages on your site and make them part of the main navigation. If those sections have subsections then place them on that page as part of a sub-navigation.

#3 Online Status
Ditch it...or move it to a contact me page. Having it on the front page is a detraction and less professional.

#4 Last Update scrolling marquee...
These were cool once a upon a time...now unless used very tastefully (ie a news ticker) are better just left as non-moving text. I suggest you drop it.

#5 Colors
I try not to ever knock someones choice in web colors. (not a color scheme guru) So I won't say a word on colors. The only thing I will not is that the text contrast may be hard for some readers and may turn some off.

#6 Right Links
I am not sure what purpose they are serving. I also question the reason you have a dating ad on your page since it does not really have anything to do with your content. Effective use of ad space would be for something related to your content. It is also more effective for your advertiser. If this is your business site I would remove all the ads altogether. If it is a hobby site then do whatever. the ad personally makes me question if your site is a spam site.

I can be a fairly harsh critic so I apologize in advance if you take things personally I only offer constructive criticism from a neutral stand point. These are simply my observations and opinions. Godd luck with this site.

1 and 2 are really interesting point ...

3 and 4 details ... I agree with you on 3 ...

abot point 6 .. the links on the right are essential to be listed in the photodir... the dating ads are obviously just source of little profit inside a hobby site.

I like the photos but to be honest i dont like the site. I dont like how the menu is static and the colours do do you any justice.

I think its a bit busy too, i like hte image on the right, but not too keen on ur static menu on the left !

Generally i think your site is ok, but its nothing mind blowing !
