Hi all
Would appreciate any feedback on this new site please. Mozilla fix comes next week when I have more time but its ok in IE. Please have a good look around and let me know if i got the nav and theme something like. Some styles still need sorting out I can appreciate, but overall opions would be good.

Thanks in advance.

php~pro,

I'm not a design person by any means as the review of my site confirms but here's my 2 cents worth (although my advice probably not worth 2 cents!).

Is the right side supposed to be all white?

The contrast doesn't seem to be enough to read some stuff.
- The news ticker links are very faint.
- Am not sure about this but you may want to be sure that color-blind people can read your light yellow on grey-blueish background. I forget how to tell, though.

The text where I think you've used a darker shade of the perhaps the same color as your background is OK to me (e.g. Welcome to Epworth Online.co.uk).

Very clean and organized site! My only slight critique is that that there may not be enough contrast for some people.

Hope this helps!

Review-

Hello -
Well, I might agree with prior responses in regards to colors being too muted - and the strange, large open space to the right, but there's something that I found more difficult that should be mentioned:
You've used a lot of neat little nav/scrollbars...but they are s l o w - it made me not even want to try looking any further at the content!

[On the plus side - really liked the calender and guestbook sections.]

Good Luck,
El.

I can't comment on the speed with which a site loads as I am using cable and not dial-up so unless you site is EXTREMELY slow, they usually load pretty fast for me.

Thank guys, I am aware of browser issues and shall be making some changes. With regards slow loading I myself am on a dial up and the page generally loads in less than 6 seconds. Further to this you are currently browsing and adding comments in what must be the slowest no_cache forum on the planet, so time can not really be an issue for you. Check out this sites loading speed at instantposition. Check out my site speed test tool at instantposition.com and this has it down for less even on dial up. Good going on a 34k page I think. With regards lots of scrollbars there is just the one central area in each page. It can be speeded up easily but I coded for what I thought would be reasonable. and as you are the first to complain I dont feel it necessary to change.

Thanks again to all for constuctive critique. It is all noted and shall be addressed as and when time permits.
