Unhappy [2005] WinXP Logoff Fade to B/W for forms?

Has anybody come up with a solution for VB.Net for the WindowsXP Logoff fade to B/W? Not fade to nothing using Opacity. I'm looking for something like this:

But for VB.Net...

The program that you linked does three things, none of which is very complex.

1. takes a snap-shot to copy the given window in an in-memory bitmap,
2. decolorizes the given bitmap,
3. main loop to step the decolorizing.

You can even omit step-3 for an instantaneous change.
