  We bought the script. The store is a nice idea but really bad programmed, very bad support guy, who seems to not know the script himself. When he doesn`t know any solution he`s becoming ofending and just doesn`t answer anymore. It´s full of bugs, updates are announced since 2004 and did not show up till 2007. You can get it running if you contract a freelance programmer on top. Feels like a rip off.

  Because my server is set up to run PHP as CGI the 1-2-3 Music Store didn't work correctly. I didn't get any specific error message, so, even with me being a PHP programmer I had to contact the makers of the software. After a few e-mails they just stopped replying!! They have basically left me with software that is not functional on my server, even though my "system requirements" are fully up to par. I have got it running more or less now, but there's some bugs that I can't seem to solve. Bah.

  I've purchased 1-2-3 Music Store in 2004, and I must say that it works great if you want to sell only with paypal. I was in the hope that more purchase options will be added with time, but since then no updates has been released. It seems that this product is dead. However, it works great and is unique of its kind. A bit confusing if you need to integrate it in a complex layout, but once it is done, it does the job. Two years ago I would have given a 5 star rating, but now, only 3 is enought, because the lack of updates and suport of the product!

  After searching for an application to suit my needs for weeks with no luck I was on the brink of spending a huge amount of money to have the application made to my specification. Fortunatly I managed to find the 1-2-3 music store in the brink of time! I was very suprised that, considering that there has been a sharp increase in the amount of people downloading music LEGALLY, nobody else has created software like this before. I usually work with ASP so as this is programmed in PHP I was a little unsure, but as it was the only app I could find to suit my needs (and it was made to work with PayPal, which I wanted) I decided to go ahead and buy it. I say it suited my needs, I am in the process of building an unsigned artists 'distribution centre' if you will, there were several features that the program did not include, but that I would need/want to be included. I contacted the author, regarding future versions and if there was a problem getting someone to make some mods for me. I was assured that pretty much everything I wanted would be in a future release due out in a few months. I was more than happy. After testing the script for a while, I ran into a few problems (mainly due to the fact that I am new to Unix servers, have always worked with Windows). I contacted their support service, who quite quickly sorted out my problems. I have had active communication with the author and he is very keen to hear my comments ad suggestions, which is always good for both parties. This software is very original, it is easy to use and can be customized fairly easily. My only 'problem' is that the documentation could be better, although it does serve it's purpose. I am very impressed and would be lying if I gave it less that a 5 for the rating. Thanks.
