Honestly, I think ABC eStore is an excellent product for e-commerce. I personally use it in the best conditions (it is simple and easy to install, the administration part is very clearly structured, it covers all the issues related to the online commerce). The data can be easily saved and restored, moreover, importing files from Excel proves to be extremely easy. Its clearly and elegant design suits all tastes. I purchased the ABC Store shopping cart script in January of 2005. After installing this script I found many bugs with the shipping module and a few other minor things. Zakkis’ answer was to reinstall the script from scratch and replace some re-written php files. Which I did, and there was STILL bugs in the scripts and after struggling for two months trying to get it to work right Zakkis’ answer was to reinstall their new version from scratch which I did and wiped out all of the data I had previously put in. Now three months into this project I find out that the 2checkout.com module has bugs in it and YES once again Zakkis’ answer is to install their yet again new version. Now over 4 months after the purchase I'm still not online with this script, the shipping module still has bugs in it, and is almost impossible to figure out how to make it calculate shipping correctly and the 2checkout.com module will create what looks like a valid sale if the user dumps out of 2checkout.com before the transaction is complete. Here it is August and I give up. I give up trying to deal with tech support and their “please install our new version” answer to every problem. They tout that their cart is wonderful because you can import items from an excel spread sheet. I say what good is importing items if the shopping cart does not work. I give this script a big fat zero, stay away from Zakkis' products. I have worked with Apache, PHP, MySql for a number of years now. I have developed some small web applications in PHP. I manage 9 websites of various sizes and types so I know what goes into web development. I have never seen such poor planning and support by a developer. I leaned a really good lesson from Zakkis. I learned that you need to do extensive research before purchasing any scripts. Find others who are using their scripts and get a second opinion. Do extensive testing and DO NOT get sucked in to the hype of a developers web site. Zakkis has a slick web site, don't be fooled. Have a great day Jim

Version 3.7 of ABC eStore has all the features a small/medium sized company, wanting an ecommerce website, would ever need. It's easy to set-up, simple to use and straight-forward to maintain. The BIG bonus is the support that comes with the product. Nothing is too much trouble for the support team. They will even 'tweak' the software to your exact requirements. Show me another ecommerce provider who will do that for the same price!

What impresses me most about the eStore is the support that you get with the purchase. I had a few problems before my purchase of eStore. Problems with host or reoccurring monthly bills for shopping cart systems, or complicated cart systems that are hard to learn or even harder to get to work. Support from eStore gave me soft direction and great support and the results have been awesome! ABC eStore is easy to learn and has saved me days of work. I have been able to enter or edit one product at a time or upload whole pages of products. ABC eStore is truly “a powerful and cost effective e-commerce tool”
