I purchased this script knowing that it was an encoded PHP script at the $250 price and that open source code would run me $1250 for the developer’s version. I thought I would try it first for the $250 and if I liked it, I was willing to spend more to get the open source in case I needed to modify it a little. I was a little uneasy at having to send a Western Union payment to India since something was wrong with their credit card payment processor the day I tried to purchase, but I went forward with the purchase anyway. I received the script the next day and installed it. The script did not work; I followed the six steps in the provided text file completely. I've loaded dozens of scripts in the past. This wasn't brain surgery, the AJ Classifieds script just didn't work. I contacted their support and immediately they wanted all my server info. I gave them that and they got the script running. I quickly realized that the script did not have a "Categories Admin Add / Delete / Edit" feature as described in the hotscripts.com listing. AJ Square tech support said they would add that immediately. I went back and forth with them for close to three weeks. Currently it has been added, but even though you can add a category from the admin area, to date the new category that appears on the home page cannot be posted to by a user successfully without the AJ Square support team going in and manually editing the code. I was even told that a true discussion board was ready and would be installed on my server...it never was. After 4 weeks of frustration, I requested my money back. I have not heard from the company since. They sold me something that does not work. If you want waste 4 weeks of your life by being their beta tester and flush $250 into the toilet, do business with these guys. Otherwise keep looking.

Hi, I'm a webmaster and bought the script for a client. Upon cutomizing it for my client I found that you cannot modify anything worth your time and effort to make it look unique for your own site. They give you a couple of templates where you can change the logo image, headder and footer. but that is about the extent. The admin section is real barebone and their are some issues with the ads being duplicated and the email confirmation link do not working. The more I try to fix this for my customer the more it seems this vendor is real parnoid about people ripping off their code than focusing on making a good flexible product for their customers who pay for their code. Do your research before you purchase and ask for a demo script before you buy. We're out a couple of hundred dollars but hope that people will read our review. Best Regards, Gl

Code is encrypted with .dlls, you cannot customize it. For $250.00, your better off with another script taht can do the exact same thing. They quit responding to me as soon as I gave them the money. I don't know if they are a legit comany. It was real buggy, if you would like to see for yourself feel free to buy it.

Sales at ajsquare: We have just bought your script and found that is NOT customizable like you said in you preveious email. We do not want to have to email your tech support for every little change that you encoded. YOU SAID THAT IT WAS CUSTOMIZABLE, IT'S NOT. -You cannot set the size of the header or footer, currently the header is way too big (it's encoded with your .dll file) -You cannot edit the index.php file.(it's encoded with your .dll file) - You cannot change the language - You cannot not edit the footer.inc file (it's encoded with your .dll file) - Duplicate ads are created when a user verifies their ad - You cannot have a free job posting and if you set it to 0$ or null it never gets posted. - The link that gets sent to hotmail and yahoo is not created correctly so the user has to truncate the first part of th ehyoperlink to validate their ad. - You do not respond to support emailes after someone purches your script. - No phone number to cantact you - every file is encoded, your guys are paranoid.
