I am a former client of Alstrasoft.com and I spent a total of about $800 in 4 separate products: Video Share, Askme Pro, E templates and Efriends. In all cases, the documetation was full of holes, and missing information that is needed for a successful installation. Nothing worked. After repeated attempts to fix it, I even paid Alstrasoft to install their own stuff, onto my compatible server. I asked them to TEST EVERYTHING. They did not, and left me with problems, error messages, and they were NEVER fixed. In disgust, I removed the scripts from my server. I do not know why I persisted with them. It might have been because I had spent so much money with them, and wanted something to work. Nothing ever did. The typical answers I got was this: "Turn off the PHP notifications" In other words, there are faults, but turn off the messages so that you do not see them. Clever is it not? My latest purchase was for the "Ask Me Pro" and the instructions are so clear and simple: 1) Upload the files 2) Create a database and 3) Run the install. According to the documentation that is all that is needed. Once again, it did not work at all. Note that I more than experienced enough to do these kinds of basic and simple installations. I can do them with my eyes shut. The problem is that every script has its own unique installation process. This needs to be supplied by the designers. In all cases, in my own experience, the instructions are poorly written, and will leave you with problems. Alstrasoft will eventually offer to install it for money money. $30 is the going rate. Would you trust them on your server? Tonight I deleted all the files, and totally erradicated all traces of the source files. They have my $800 of hard earned money, and they have not, and will not offer to do even a partial refund. I demanded half of my money, allowing them to keep for nothing $400 of my money. Guess what happened? Nothing. Think twice in face three times before you spend one cent with this organisation.

I have to say that I was very excited to buy this script after I tested it on their demo site and it appeared to be exactly what I wanted. Sadly the script failed to work on my server or their recommended servers. I established it may well have something to do with the cron files/database but they never responded to my support requests. I asked for a refund but this did not materialise until I recorded a dispute with Paypal. I really hoped it would work but sadly not!

Your software is full of bugs: we need to replace all your text about AlstraSoft, the soft is not working on Linux machine (because of the include files), the graphs are not working (even in the windows machine) because of array_merge() function and so on... When we bought the application we expect a fully functional software not a software that need improvements and bugs corrections. On top of that you answer only when I ask for a refund.

I buy it and I had the same problems like you guys! So, be aware about Alstrasoft! No service, no working software, no support! Just headacke!

I went to purchase this script but the demo doesn't works. I've emailed sales support with a few pre-sales questions as I would like to make a purchase, but only my first email was answered (script PHP4.x compatible only), the other three have been completely ignored. The last three was about a virus found on their homepage (screenhsot saved) and about the payments methods (by Western Union). Come one guys - someone is trying to buy your product all you have to do is respond.
