technically slick, but not user orientated enough

As a student of HCI I have to design a simple version myself and have therefore compared this one with others. The main weakness of this version is the JOption pane which forces you to click ok each time you or the computer sinks a ship. This is distracting and slows down the game. Another, minor problem: not enough contrast between background and miss squares for people with some visual impairments. Perhaps a grid of only 15x15 would have been better (better odds for each shot and hence faster game. Technically the game is fine, and quick.
