BBClone - A PHP Web Counter

Visit Publisher Site

For each visitor, BBClone counter can display: IP address with reverse DNS, whois information, operating system, browser, referring URL (where do they come from), visit date, search engine keywords, country, page visits and number of visitors in a graphical interface. Additionally referrers and ip addresses can be ignored if necessary. No database is required, just add a few lines into the PHP pages to be tracked and the code does not appear in the source.

    A rareity, for a relatively complicated script it is very simple to set up, excellent instructions written to be understood. It displays all the required data in a very readable form. I'm a doddering pensioner and it worked first time for me.

    This seems to be a cracking bit of software. Only just installed it, took about 5 minutes. No wrong turns because the process is very well described on their website. The stats are all I need and flat-file database neatly matches my cutenews CMS. Now I just have to sit back and weep as I realise that absolutely noone is reading my blog :)

    I am no expert, but I have built a resource data base and installed a voting poll, but this thing was poorly documented. In fact, the install directions made little sense to me and I finally gave up. Besides being a huge file that took up a ton of room. It is probably a terrific script but needs much better documentation and directions.

    No need to look any farther for a great web counter...bbclone is great! Don't bother with those commercial services - bbclone gives you what you need and is customizable to suit your needs.
